川普在推特 (Twitter) 發文寫道，未來美國將大幅刪減企業稅及管制，但「任何離開我們的國家前往他國、開除員工卻在他國開新工廠的企業，同時想將產品賣回美國，卻以為不會受到處罰及承擔後果，他們大錯特錯。」

  • 川普進一步表示，這樣的企業，如果想把他們的產品、汽車或空調零件等等賣回美國，將被課以 35% 的關稅，「這樣的稅將帶給他們財務困難。不過，如果企業只是在美國 50 州內遷移，就不會被課任何關稅。」
